I’m all for envisioning yourself the hero in your own story, but at some point he had to realize that the poisoned apples he’d been carrying around and the house of gingerbread he lived in made him the villian everyone is trying to bring down. He needed to step away from the mirror and understand that spinning straw into gold at the expense of the City that wanted to love him is what brouight him to this point. I’m glad the judge gave Kwame Kilpatrick a long time to think about that.
DETROIT (WXYZ) – Kwame Kilpatrick’s will spend 28 years in prison for running a criminal enterprise out of city hall.
Today, he he learned his fate inside federal court in downtown Detroit. The boy who dreamed of being Detroit mayor is now a man disgraced.
Kwame Kilpatrick never had the comeback he promised after the text message scandal that bounced him out of office and into the Wayne County jail.
