Little Black Book Project on the little black duck

I can’t believe I’m doing this again.
Over the last few years of the three books sent out – absolutely none of them have returned.
. . .
However, the itch is back and I feel the need to do it once more, if only because the project is so intriguing to me.
Regular readers to the Diner and now the duck know that over the past few years, I’ve “sponsored” a Wandering Moleskine-style project called “The Little Black Book“. The concept is simple: receive a moleskine in the mail, make it yours for seven days – write in it, put in pretty pictures, draw a masterpiece, and mail it to the next person on the list. It got off to a great start in the Fall of 2006, traveling of over 3,600 miles across six states, but unfortunately it pooped out somewhere in New Hampshire. All attemps to reach it failed. Instead of mourning, I started two new books – one picking up where the first left off, and a new list of old and new. They are also MIA.
Clearly I am insane as I keep expecting these books to come back to me.
It’s going to go a little something like this:
On July 1, 2009 the Moleskine will begin it’s journey – of course – with me. The maximum anyone, including me, can keep this book is 7 Days. This means I’ll have it over the course of my time at CONvergence, and I’m a little excited about that.
It works like this (Official Rules of Engagement):
You get the book and e-mail me: author [at] montileestormer [dot] com so I know it arrived. Please don’t cheat it so you have extra days.
Then you carry it around with you, jotting down stuff, drawing pretty pictures, slipping in newspaper clippings – whatever – for up to 7 days it’s yours.
Take a picture of it – scan a page – something to send to me to show that you made your mark, then you put it back into the mail to the next person on the list. Hell, send me video of your book’s wanderings. I would love to see that! Go ahead and draw a line through your own name, everyone like crossing off lists .
As scans come in, I’ll post them and inform the world of where it is. Sign up in the comments below or drop me an e-mail. The cut-off is 15 people.
****yeah, I know it says it’s sponsord by the Diner, and the old ones were. I’ll have a new graphic by the time it goes out.
