We have been after the City to cut the dying tree down for at least three years for exactly this reason. There is always a danger of a felled tree in the winter with the heavy snow and ice. I’m in Oakland County, which is prime tornado country, but we haven’t had much of a tornado season. Lots of bad weather passes north of us and we are just content to watch the sky change colors. Today’s weather was pretty uneventful with dark skies and a brief downpour. I was inside updating webpages and chatting with friends when it happened, and all I knew that my front and back seats were soaked because I left the windows down. Silly me, it’s only been upwards of 95 degrees here. What was I thinking? So the landlord will be here in about an hour to survey the damage and maybe he can get somewhere with the City tomorrow. More storms are expected tonight and tomorrow. My neighbor almost ended up
with a new skylight.
