“You just have to decide if you’re a Tigger or an Eeyore. I think I’m clear where I stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate. Never lose the childlike wonder. It’s just too important. It’s what drives us.”  – Randy Pausch, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”, Journeys/The Last Lecture, Carnagie Mellon lecture series, 2007

Randy passed this morning due to complications from death brought on by incurable pancreatic cancer. (that sentence is intentional)  if you haven read his book, The Last Lecture,” written with Jeffrey Zaslow, or seen the lecture on YouTube, treat yourself.

I’m not one for inspirational platitudes and I’ll walk into on-coming traffic to avoid  an uplifting sing-a-long, but I have to admit – a man facing death, not with a flip remark, but a genuine smile and a good-natured joke makes my black shrivelled little heart beat.

Just once, but it’s enough

Just this fox. I'm a writer of horror and dark fantasy. I totally don't brag about it. The latter statement is an utter lie.
