OUTSIDE INTERESTS

Dear gawd …

I just started the novelization of “The Serpent Bearer.”

Someone want to please remind me of the three other novels I’m working on, not to mention the two chapters of Isle I have due at the end of the month.

In other news, I did clean up Chapter 5 of The Cat Dragged Inn, I am tweaking my still as untitled “Edmund story” (exactly one of you will know what is), and there is a itching in my brain about a story that arrived as a dream a few weeks and evolved from the beautiful quiet suburban streets to the enticing smell of BBQ. Did someone say “hairless goat”?

The time off from the grind of a nine-to five job has been nothing short of relaxing, but I need deadlines and I’m missing the frantic, exhaustive drive I had when I was working ten hours a day. I’m finding the writing longhand to helping with this immensely and I’m cranking out words without the constant spectre of formatting or typos. I even wrote in the bar last night, in-between serving drinks and chatting up new regulars. However and still, it’s not the volume I expected.

In fact, when I get home in twenty minutes to color my hair, I think I’ll spend the thirty minutes not getting dye all over the bathroom writing.

The Serpent Bearer novelization is coming along really well, but if RJ asks, tell him that Chapters Four and Six of Isle are nearly complete.

Oh, PJ – Did you like the story excerpt in the LBB or are you pissed that I didn’t post more of it sooner? *grin*

You know … there’s a another part in the other book.

*runs*

Just this fox. I'm a writer of horror and dark fantasy. I totally don't brag about it. The latter statement is an utter lie.
